Privacy Policy

This policy covers the 3D PriceTag website (3dpricetag.com), the 3D PriceTag mobile app for iOS and Android, and any related services (collectively, “the Service”). The Service is provided by 3D Print Land.

What we collect

Account users (website and app)

• Email address and encrypted password (managed by Supabase Auth)
• Display name (if provided)
• PriceTags (saved pricing calculations), including all inputs, results, and notes
• Printer profiles (name, brand, model, wattage, purchase cost, service life)
• Filament profiles (name, brand, material type, colour, spool weight, spool price, supplier)
• Preset configurations (platform fees, energy costs, labour rates, packaging costs, extra cost items)
• User settings and preferences (currency, VAT rate, default mode, theme, rounding strategy)

Guest users (mobile app only)

All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any guest-mode data. If you later create an account, you may choose to migrate your local data to the cloud — this is a one-time, user-initiated action.

Website visitors

• Standard web analytics (page views, referrer, country, device type)
• Calculator teaser inputs are processed in your browser only and are not stored or transmitted
• Mailing list email address (if you choose to subscribe)

Mobile app (additional technical data)

• Device type and operating system version (collected by Expo/EAS for crash reporting and build compatibility)
• App version number
• We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any data beyond what is listed above

How we use your data

• Product functionality: Your PriceTags, profiles, presets, and settings are used solely to provide the Service. They are not used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
• Account authentication: Your email and password are used to sign you in and secure your account.
• Cloud sync: Account data is synced between devices you are signed in to. This is the primary purpose of storing data on our servers.
• Mailing list: If you subscribe, your email is used only to send product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Analytics: Anonymised website analytics help us understand how the site is used. We do not track individual users across the web.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data to anyone
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We do not use your data for AI/ML training
• We do not show targeted advertising
• We do not track you across other websites or apps

Data storage and security

Account data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database. All tables are protected by row-level security (RLS) — your data is scoped to your user account and cannot be accessed by other users. Authentication tokens on the mobile app are stored in the device's secure keychain (Expo SecureStore), not in plain text.

Guest-mode data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to migrate it to an account.

Third-party services

• Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and real-time sync. Data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — website hosting. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
• Expo / EAS — mobile app build and update infrastructure. See Expo Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution. Subject to their respective privacy policies.

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs in the mobile app.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data (PriceTags, profiles, presets, settings) is permanently deleted within 30 days. Mailing list subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the app or website at any time.
• Export: You can export your PriceTags as CSV from the app.
• Correction: You can edit your profiles, presets, and settings at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete individual PriceTags, profiles, and presets. You can also request full account deletion by contacting us.
• Portability: Your data can be exported in standard formats (CSV, text).

If you are in the UK or EU, you have additional rights under UK GDPR / EU GDPR. Contact us to exercise them.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies

The website uses essential cookies for authentication sessions only. No tracking or advertising cookies are used. The mobile app does not use cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or website. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
